The worry for them was slowly growing and she’d get horribly fidgety if no one sent in a transmission soon, especially Kobra. Instead of biting her nails or reaching for the empty pack of cigarettes in her bag, her normal nervous habits, Angel reached back for her guitar, sliding her seat back. “Everything would be just fine if Ghoul hadn’t tried killing me, y’know? Maybe we’d be back at that diner in Zone 4, just hanging out.” She frowned, picking at the strings.

There was a quiet sound as Riot exhaled, a little more loudly and quickly than usual, mostly in surprise. Ghoul had done what, now? No, she wouldn’t ask. It was - there were no words for what it was, actually, but she knew BLI had been gunning for the Killjoys. There had to be some explanation, and it could probably be traced back to them. “I remember that diner,” she said, just for something stupid to fill the silence. “Slept in those booths more nights than I care to think of. Not too comfortable, but you’ll take what you can get out here.”Shut up shut up shut up before you give yourself away completely, something in her mind screamed, and she bit her lip and fell silent again.
